1. UK Kids Electric Cars Courier Delivery

We use established courier and freight companies, which may include DPD, FedEx, TNT or other suitable carriers, depending on the size of your order and destination.

Our standard delivery prices are listed below.

Delivery destination Weight / service Delivery charge
Most mainland UK locations Eligible standard orders £4.95
Scottish Highlands Up to and including 30kg £24.95
Scottish Highlands Over 30kg – pallet delivery £120.00
Northern Ireland Up to and including 30kg £24.95
Northern Ireland Over 30kg – pallet delivery £120.00

Important: For the Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland, orders over 30kg require specialist pallet delivery at £120 per order.

The £24.95 standard charge applies to eligible orders weighing 30kg or less. Other oversized products or destinations may require a separate quote. Your applicable shipping charge should be confirmed before payment.

How Long Does Delivery Take?

Many in-stock UK orders are delivered within an estimated 1–2 working days from ordering, subject to order processing, stock availability, courier collections and location.

Working days normally exclude weekends and bank holidays. Pallet deliveries, remote locations and peak seasonal periods may take longer.

Delivery times are estimates unless a guaranteed service has been expressly agreed.

Tracking and Receiving Your Order

Tracking details may be available once your order has been dispatched. Please contact us with your order number if you need help.

We recommend arranging for someone to be available to accept large parcels or pallet deliveries.

Personalised Number Plates and Accessories

Personalised number plates are made to order and usually arrive approximately 5–6 working days after ordering.

They may be dispatched separately from your vehicle. Please allow extra time at Christmas and check spelling carefully before submitting personalised details.

2. Northern Ireland & Republic of Ireland Delivery

Northern Ireland

For Northern Ireland, delivery is £24.95 for eligible orders up to and including 30kg.

Items over 30kg are delivered by pallet at £120 per order, subject to carrier availability and product suitability.

Republic of Ireland

We offer selected shipping arrangements to the Republic of Ireland.

Eligible items weighing under 30kg are charged at £39 per order.

For items over 30kg, our stated specialist arrangement is collection from our border-area depot in Belcoo, BT93, at £159 per order, plus an additional charge raised once your order arrives at Belcoo.

The additional amount will be advised separately. Please contact us before ordering to understand the full expected cost and collection arrangements.

Important: Large Vehicles Over 30kg for the Republic of Ireland

Please contact us before ordering a large vehicle for the Republic of Ireland.

We'll confirm whether the service is available, explain the collection procedure and provide the best available estimate of the additional charge before you place your order.

The extra charge is raised once your order reaches Belcoo.

We will also explain any customs, VAT or import requirements.

3. European Delivery & Freight Forwarding

Since changes to UK–EU shipping arrangements, direct delivery to European destinations has become more complicated, especially for larger electric ride-on vehicles containing batteries.

We therefore ask European customers to contact us before ordering.

Where suitable, you may be able to use an independent UK freight forwarding company.

If we agree to this arrangement, you can provide the forwarder's UK delivery address and unique customer reference.

You must first check that the forwarding company accepts your chosen vehicle and battery type, and confirm its fees, insurance, customs documentation and any import charges.

Where direct European delivery is expressly agreed, an indicative transit estimate may be 4–7 working days, but this is not guaranteed.

Delivery to islands and destinations such as Malta, Cyprus, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Norway, Switzerland or Gibraltar may be restricted or require specialist arrangements.

Worldwide Shipping

We do not currently offer a general worldwide delivery service to destinations such as the USA, Australia, Singapore or South Africa.

Our warehouse aims to dispatch on available working days over the holiday period, excluding weekends and bank holidays.

5. Safe & Secure Online Ordering

We use online checkout and payment services designed to protect payment information.

Available payment options are shown at checkout. Please only follow payment instructions provided through our official website or confirmed directly by our team.

If you wish to ask about payment by cheque or postal order, please contact us first.

Do not send payment by post until we have confirmed that the method is accepted and supplied the correct payee and address.

Orders paid by an agreed non-instant method may take longer to process.

6. Change-of-Mind Returns & Refunds

For most eligible consumer purchases made online, you have the right to cancel within 14 days after receiving your goods, without giving a reason.

After telling us you wish to cancel, you normally have a further 14 days to send the goods back.

To cancel, email info@kidselectriccars.co.uk with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel.

Does the Vehicle Have to Be Unused?

You may inspect goods to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, broadly as you would in a shop.

Handling beyond what is reasonably necessary for that purpose may result in a lawful deduction for diminished value.

For example, extensive outdoor use, damage or excessive wear may affect the refund amount.

Do I Need the Original Packaging?

We strongly recommend retaining the original box and protective packaging until you are satisfied with your purchase.

Large ride-on vehicles can be difficult to package safely, and suitable packaging helps protect goods during return transport.

However, discarding the original packaging or assembling a vehicle does not automatically remove your statutory cancellation rights.

Who Pays for a Change-of-Mind Return?

For eligible change-of-mind returns, you may be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods where we have properly explained that responsibility before purchase.

As a guide, smaller parcel returns may cost approximately £15–£25, while large pallet returns may cost approximately £100–£200 or more.

These are illustrative estimates, not fixed fees. The actual cost depends on size, weight, location and packaging.

Required pre-contract return-cost information will be provided for goods that cannot normally be returned by post.

Refund Times

Where cancellation rights apply, we will refund payments as required by law, including the standard outbound delivery charge where applicable.

We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods back or receive evidence that you have sent them, whichever is earlier.

Refunds will normally be made to the original payment method.

Personalised Items

Products genuinely made to your specifications or clearly personalised, such as custom number plates, are generally excluded from the standard change-of-mind cancellation right.

This does not affect your rights if they are faulty or not as described.

7. Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Goods

If your order arrives damaged, develops a fault or is not what you ordered, please contact us promptly so we can help.

Include your order number, a description of the issue and, where practical, photographs or a short video.

Photos of damaged packaging can also be helpful.

We may suggest straightforward checks or offer suitable replacement parts where appropriate.

However, you do not have to accept an unsuitable repair or waive your statutory rights.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

Depending on the circumstances and timing, legal remedies can include rejection and refund, repair, replacement or a price reduction.

For qualifying faults, the short-term right to reject generally lasts 30 days.

A seven-day reporting request does not remove your statutory rights.

If returning faulty goods is necessary to provide a statutory remedy, we will cover the required reasonable return costs in accordance with the law.

Collections and Missed Deliveries

For larger vehicles, we may arrange a courier or pallet collection.

Please follow the agreed collection instructions and contact us promptly if you need to rearrange.

Any charge relating to an avoidable failed collection or delivery must be fair, lawful and clearly communicated; no automatic penalty overrides your statutory rights.

8. Kids Electric Cars Warranty Information

Our stated standard commercial cover for eligible ride-on cars is a six-month parts warranty, subject to the terms for the individual product.

This is in addition to, not instead of, your statutory consumer rights.

Batteries, motors, chargers, remote controls and wheels may have a stated 30-day commercial warranty for manufacturing defects.

That shorter commercial warranty period does not limit statutory remedies where goods are faulty or fail to meet legal quality requirements.

Commercial warranty exclusions may apply to normal wear and tear, accidental damage, overloading, incompatible charging equipment, unauthorised modifications, unsuitable terrain and incorrect storage or maintenance, subject to applicable law and the individual product terms.

Looking After Your Ride-On Vehicle

  • Use only the correct charger and follow the manufacturer's charging and storage instructions.
  • Never exceed the manufacturer's maximum rider weight.
  • Use the vehicle only on surfaces approved for that model.
  • Do not expose a vehicle to water or weather conditions beyond its manufacturer's specifications.
  • Follow the manual when moving the vehicle manually; some drive systems can be damaged if dragged incorrectly.
  • Stop using a battery or charger that shows signs of swelling, leaking, overheating or damage.

If you're unsure about your vehicle's battery, charger or operating instructions, contact our team before attempting repairs.

9. Prices, VAT & Customer Complaints

Product prices and applicable delivery charges are displayed during checkout.

VAT and any relevant tax treatment will be shown in accordance with the destination and transaction.

If we identify a pricing or availability issue, we'll contact you to explain the options in accordance with applicable law.

We take complaints seriously and aim to respond within five working days, although complex matters may require additional investigation.

Please email info@kidselectriccars.co.uk with your order number and details.

Our team provides support by email and website live chat Monday to Saturday.

We also try to answer telephone enquiries when possible, but email and live chat are generally the most reliable contact methods.

10. Waste Batteries & Recycling

Rechargeable batteries must be disposed of responsibly and should not be placed in general household waste.

Read more about our arrangements in our Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations information.

Wholesale customers may have their own obligations.

See our wholesale trade accounts information.
